Who knew a pickleball court in Tampa, FL would be the place where forever began? One casual game turned into playful competition, a lot of laughter, and the beginning of something so much bigger than either of us expected (JP swears he won, but Kasi knows the truth).

As fate would have it, the sparks didn’t stop when we left the court. On the way home, JP pulled up next to Kasi at a red light and—naturally—challenged her to a race. In that exact moment, watching her grin back at him, he knew she was perfect for him. From then on, the rest just felt easy.

Since that day, we’ve built a love that feels like home. We are truly best friends, always calling each other “my human” or “my person,” because that’s exactly what we are—each other’s safe place, biggest cheerleader, and forever teammate.

Our little family grew when we welcomed Blue, our golden retriever. If you’ve ever met him, you know he’s basically a 70-pound ball of pure sunshine, convinced every person on earth is his best friend. Energetic, goofy, and the happiest pup you’ll ever meet, Blue has filled our days with endless joy (and plenty of chaos).

This year, we’re moving into our first home—where JP’s engineer brain will probably overanalyze how to hang every single picture frame, while Kasi insists the couch pillows need to “feel more cozy.” Somewhere in between, Blue will be zooming laps around the living room like it’s his personal racetrack.

And then came one of the most special moments of all: JP proposed at our favorite spot on Davis Island, the place that has always felt like ours. Surrounded by love, laughter, and the promise of forever, we said “yes” to the beginning of the best chapter yet.

Our story is built on laughter, late-night takeout, pickleball rematches, and quiet moments that remind us just how lucky we are. But most of all, it’s built on love—the kind that makes every day brighter, every challenge easier, and every moment sweeter.
